Beam Reports uncovered a coordinated network of 70 Facebook pages created within days of one another in May 2026, spreading anti-refugee incitement, misleading content and paid advertisements across Libya. The investigation found that the pages amassed more than two million followers, frequently published identical material within minutes, and promoted content calling for expulsions, attacks on UNHCR and mobilisation against refugees.
