What We Stand For
Freedom of Movement
We defend the right of every person to seek safety and determine their own future without interception, detention, abandonment or forced return to danger.
Investigation and Exposure
We conduct survivor-led investigations, gather testimony and evidence, identify perpetrators and expose places, networks and institutions connected to abuse.
Justice Without Borders
We pursue accountability regardless of the perpetrator’s nationality, position or institution—from militias and traffickers to African and European officials, agencies and governments.
Refugee Leadership
Refugees are not merely beneficiaries or witnesses. We are organisers, investigators, advocates, authors and decision-makers.
Our mission is to advocate for the protection and freedom of movement of displaced people, expose human rights abuses, transform migration policy and public debate, and fight impunity wherever responsibility lies.

We investigate and expose torture, arbitrary detention, trafficking, sexual violence, forced labour, extortion, enslavement and the auctioning of Black African people in Libya and across North Africa. We confront human trafficking whether it is carried out by organised criminal networks, armed groups, militias, state authorities or institutions operating under official authority.

We challenge the policies and systems that make these abuses possible, including border externalisation, interceptions at sea, forced returns, detention economies and cooperation between governments and abusive authorities. We also confront racist and dehumanising narratives that portray migration as a threat and displaced people as criminals, invaders or passive victims.

Through survivor-led investigations, documentation, campaigns, advocacy and strategic litigation, we seek policy change and accountability before African, European and international courts and mechanisms.

Justice cannot stop with those who commit abuses directly. It must also reach those who finance, legitimise, facilitate, conceal or benefit from them.
